Ukrainian Citizens Will Be Allowed To Become Sponsorless Residents Of The UAE
The Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE shared a message by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE which gave Ukrainian citizens some very exciting news.
The news states that citizens of Ukraine are allowed to apply for a permit to stay in the UAE for a year without the need for a sponsor
Ukrainian citizens who are in the UAE and have overstayed their visa will be exempt from paying fines
The residency will allow them to reside in the UAE without the need for a sponsor and will be under the special procedure: Residency – Countries of Disasters and Wars. According to the Ministry of Ukraine in the UAE, Ukrainian citizens who are in the territory of the Emirates as tourists and have overstayed, are exempt from paying fines as this is under the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the UAE.
They may apply via TAS-HEEL service centres.
