Heavy rains and flash floods hit parts of the UAE this weekend.
The National Centre for Seismology and Meteorology recorded landslides in Sharjah, while Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain, Fujairah and some parts of Dubai are also dealing with rare weather conditions.
And the newly opened Dubai Safari park is unfortunately suffering the consequences.
In the interest of safety, the park is officially closed for today and will reopen in the coming days when the unstable weather clears.
“Due to weather conditions, Dubai Safari will be closed today and will reopen again in the coming days based on the weather forecast”
Dubai Safari had a soft opening on December 12 and offered free entry for two weeks.
After tens of thousands rush to visit the new park, which is home to 250 species, Dubai Safari was forced to announce family only dates, due to the popular demand.
