Two Emirati sisters, aged 25 and 31, were on their way Thursday morning in Ras Al Khaimah when they noticed the front walls of two shops collapsing.
The two store signs, as well as concrete blocks and metal girders fell in front of them.
They immediately stopped their vehicle and jumped to rescue an elderly man by helping him pry open the door before the rest of the supermarket could collapse on him.
Two of the men were still trapped inside the grocery store in Mua’ridh area.
With the help of the freed man, the sisters were able to get the other two men out of the wreckage before their shop could turn into complete shambles as well.
