The law sets out a comprehensive regulatory framework designed to reduce the risks of infectious diseases within public health facilities. It introduces clear guidelines for health monitoring procedures, medical testing, and periodic inspections.
These measures are aimed at creating safer environments for both employees and visitors, while also ensuring that facilities are consistently meeting health and safety standards.
With the introduction of this law, public health establishments in Ras Al Khaimah will be required to follow stricter preventive protocols. This includes conducting regular health checks, implementing testing procedures where needed, and maintaining continuous compliance with health regulations.
Facilities will also be subject to ongoing inspections to ensure that all measures are being properly followed, reinforcing accountability across the sector.

The Public Health and Safety Department at Ras Al Khaimah Municipality has been designated as the authority responsible for implementing the law.
The department will be granted regulatory and supervisory powers, allowing it to monitor compliance, conduct inspections, and take necessary actions when violations occur. It will also be responsible for issuing occupational health fitness certificates, ensuring that employees meet the required health standards.
This law represents an important step in strengthening the overall health system in Ras Al Khaimah. By focusing on prevention, monitoring, and compliance, the emirate is taking proactive measures to reduce potential health risks before they escalate.
It also highlights the importance of maintaining high standards in public health facilities, especially in a time where preparedness and prevention play a key role in protecting communities.
