UAE Honours Two Fallen Soldiers As Funeral Prayers Held In Ras AlKhaimah And Al Ain

Nation mourns two UAE soldiers after helicopter crash

The UAE paid tribute to two members of the Armed Forces who were martyred after a military helicopter crashed due to a technical malfunction while they were performing their national duty inside the country.

According to the UAE Ministry of Defence, the incident happened on Monday, March 9, 2026. The ministry confirmed the martyrdom of the two servicemen and expressed its deepest condolences to their families, praying for mercy and strength for their loved ones during this difficult time.

Funeral prayers for the two fallen soldiers were held on Tuesday after Dhuhr prayer in both Al Ain and Ras AlKhaimah.

The two soldiers were identified as Captain Saeed Rashid Al Blooshi and First Lieutenant Ali Saleh Ismail Al Tunaiji.

Captain Saeed Rashid Al Blooshi’s funeral prayer took place at Al Mu’tarad Grand Mosque in Al Ain, followed by his burial at Ahmed bin Surour Cemetery.

Meanwhile in Ras AlKhaimah, funeral prayers for First Lieutenant Ali Saleh Ismail Al Tunaiji were held at Abdullah Al Aamash Mosque in Al Rams, with burial at Al Rams Cemetery.

Sheikh Saud performs funeral prayer in Ras AlKhaimah

In Ras AlKhaimah, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras AlKhaimah, joined worshippers in performing the funeral prayer for First Lieutenant Ali Saleh Ismail Al Tunaiji.

The prayer was attended by a number of officials, family members, and residents who gathered to honour the fallen soldier and pay their respects.

The UAE continues to honour the sacrifice and dedication of its Armed Forces members who serve the nation with courage and commitment.
