The second President of the UAE, Highness Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan passed away on Friday, May 13.
In honour of the late UAE President, a mourning period of 40 days has been declared. The UAE will observe a 40-day state of mourning with the flag flown at half-mast starting today, the ministry announced.
The suspension dates of work in ministries, departments, federal and local institutions, and the private sector has been revised.
Now work will be suspended in the UAE starting Saturday, 14th May, and operations will resume as normal on Tuesday, 17th May.
The Ministry of Presidential Affairs also announced that the UAE will observe a forty-day state mourning with the flag flown at half-mast starting today, and suspend work at all ministries, departments, and federal, local and private entities for three days.#WamNews
