400k Residents Enrol In DEWA’s ‘Sustainable Living Programme’ Aiming To\u00a0Make Dubai A City With The Lowest Carbon Footprint<\/em><\/p>\n

Dubai’s never-ending itch to strive and be the best is not just within the infrastructure or tourism realms but also includes sustainable development and living.<\/p>\n

More than\u00a0400,000 Dubai residential expats have\u00a0in Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA)’s \u2018My Sustainable Living Programme\u2019, that aims to encourage residents to adopt a more eco-friendly and\u00a0sustainable lifestyle.<\/p>\n

The initiative which was\u00a0launched back in 2018 will provide\u00a0customers with an integrated conservation plan to significantly reduce their water, electricity consumption and carbon footprint.<\/p>\n

Dubai is working its way up to\u00a0achieving sustainable development in all aspects and becoming a city “with the lowest carbon footprint in the world by 2050…”<\/em><\/h2>\n

As mentioned by H.E. Saeed Mohammed Ahmed Al Tayer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DEWA.\u00a0Al Tayer further added,<\/p>\n

\u201cWe work in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to achieve sustainable development in all aspects, and the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, to make Dubai the city with the lowest carbon footprint in the world by 2050. We strive to enhance consumer behaviour, in line with the Demand Side Management Strategy to reduce the demand for electricity and water by 30% in 2030.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Customers can use the many benefits and technical features offered by \u2018My Sustainable Living Programme\u2019.<\/p>\n
