A vlogger is on a (Hope) mission to highlight just how meaningful the UAE getting a probe to Mars really is.

In his video which has already racked up over 800k views, Nas Daily says when the world sees Arabs, they see the old stuff and the bad stuff. But what about the good stuff?

“When you think of Arabs like me, you think of oil and you think of desert…’ Nas wants the world to pay attention to the Emirates Mars Mission, a UAE probe which aims to reach Mars and become the first to provide a complete picture of the Martian atmosphere and its layers.

This is the first time an Arab spacecraft will ever attempt to reach Mars. The journey to the red planet will take seven months, and, according to Nas, “It will change the way we look at people from the desert”

The purpose of the Emirates Mars Mission is to answer key questions about the global Martian atmosphere, encourage global cooperation for continued space exploration and, maybe most importantly, provide hope and new role models to Arab children.
