If you’re looking for something adventurous to keep you busy over the long weekend, look no further.<\/p>\n
Ras Al Khaimah’s Jebel Jais mountain has something for you – the Middle East’s first via ferrata.\u00a0The\u00a0climbing route (470m-long) has three start and finish points\u00a0and three zip\u00a0lines measuring\u00a050m, 60m and 300m. Let’s just say it’s an opportunity to experience\u00a0Jebel Jais’ views at around 400ft (the height of a 30-storey building). The first ones to try it out were\u00a0RAK Tourism Development Authority’s\u00a0Haitham Mattar\u00a0and Emirati adventurers Huda Zowayed and Hamad Al Mazrouey.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0Ledge Walk which takes around four hours to complete.<\/p>\n
The Middle Path which takes around 3.5 hours to complete.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And the\u00a0Julphar Scare which takes\u00a0around 1.5 hours to complete.\u00a0<\/p>\n
You’d have to prove yourself on the Ledge Walk before you’re allowed to take on the other courses that are a little more challenging.<\/p>\n
There are two slots available: 9am to 1pm and 1pm to 5pm. Each climbing group consists of a maximum of 7 participants and two instructors to guide you through the\u00a0experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n
