A rather strange incident took place at Riyadh Zoo last weekend when a man came into a really close encounter with a tiger.
Zoo workers immediately responded to the scene and fired sedation shots at the wild animal before successfully managing to pull out the resident.
The 24-year-old Sudanese expat claimed he got dizzy and fell into the closed-off area where he was attacked by a tigress. However, zoo workers and Riyadh Municipality have stated that the man did not fall into the area but intentionally jumped in.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he’s being treated for a set of injuries.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
