A Saudi Falcon Festival Just Took Place And It Is All About Encouraging Falconry In Children

Avatar

A falconry festival in Riyadh is attracting young participants, with children entering competitions and being encouraged by other falconers.

The King Abdul Aziz Falconry Festival, which is in its third edition, is organized by the Saudi Falcons Club (SFC).

Falconry is a cultural legacy in the region that includes values and ethics that have characterized the falconers. And to support the pioneering role of the Arab falconers and the Kingdom’s interest in this heritage, a royal decree was stipulated to establish the Falcon Club in the Kingdom.

Today, there are more than 20,000 falconers in the Kingdom.  And this festival aims to foster this rich culture in young Saudis.
