A few years ago a man in the Saudi city of Hail put a fridge outside his house for absolutely heartwarming reasons.

The fridge was so that those who need it can take what is required

The man, who preferred to remain anonymous, also called on his neighbors to contribute to the fridge. He stated to the media that the purpose of the fridge is to spare people who are less fortunate, to have access to basic food without having to ask for it.

Although this took place a few years ago, it has started a conversation online with people stating that more mosques and households should start placing fridges outside to help those who need it the most.

Especially given the current extreme cold in many parts of the country for the first time (and with the regular extreme summers), it might be a good idea to make these more common!
