Saudis On Clubhouse Are Discussing If Shops Should Be Closed For Prayers Or Not

Avatar

Clubhouse is all the rage these days and a lot of interesting conversations – some serious, some not-so – have been taking place on the app.

Some Saudis, for instance, took to Clubhouse to discuss if shops should remain closed during prayer times or not

And although it is hardly a new topic of discussion in Saudi Arabia, there were some new opinions and perspectives shared and allowed a new way to have the public discourse.

Many people support the closing of shops during prayer times as it allows and encourages prayers

Many disagreed and believe that essential stores such as pharmacies and grocery stores should remain open.

It is also valuable to the economy.
