Foreign universities will now be allowed to open branch campuses in Saudi Arabia
This decision was announced by the Saudi Cabinet said on Tuesday and has been very well received by students and educators.
They believe this will help create a standard of competition for local universities and also offer a wider range of course options for students who don’t wish to or cannot afford to go abroad.
Further, it opens the potential for many students in neighboring countries to move to Saudi Arabia for their education.
