5 Heart-Pounding Activities In AlUla You Can’t Miss

Avatar

AlUla isn’t just a place to chillax in the lap of luxury and nature, it’s also a playground for adventure junkies. Boasting an array of heart-pounding activities guaranteed to get your adrenaline pumping, AlUla is in a league of its own when it comes to adventure in Saudi. Whether you’re a daredevil or just looking to spice up your vacation, here are five must-try activities in Alula:

1. Swing on an AlUla’s Insta-Famous Giant Swing

Swinging in a park may not get your adrenaline pounding, but swinging 85 metres above the ground in between the most picturesque valleys sure will. The best part? You get to take a leap off the cliff before the swing kicks in, adding an extra adrenaline kick to the ride.

2. Reach For The Top On The AlUla Stairway

The AlUla Stairway may seem like a simple climb on a suspended ladder, but it’s actually no joke, especially on windy days. The 45-metre suspended ladder is located in one of the most scenic spots in AlUla, so you probably should frequently stop for breathers to soak in the views of the surroundings. You could then zipline your way back to the bottom of the valley. Adrenaline rush guaranteed!

3. Catch The Most Beautiful Sunrise On A Hot-Air Balloon

Hot-air balloon trips aren’t available in AlUla year-round, but they’re currently available now, so you better be planning to reach the place ASAP! Wake up early in the morning, catch the hot-air balloon at dawn, soar up in the skies, and watch the most beautiful sunrise unfold ahead of you.

4. Hike Along A Ridge

AlUla has a number of amazing walks designed to bring out the best of AlUla. But if thrills and adventure are your thing, then you definitely need to go on this 6-kilometre hike called the Ridge Walk. You’ll be climbing some steep uphill terrain and dramatic ridges. Strap on your best trekking boots.

5. Dive Headfirst Into The World Of Mountaineering

Ask any adventure lover who has been to AlUla, and if they’ve experienced it, the Via Ferrata experience will be at the top of their list. And why shouldn’t it be? You’ll get to climb mountain faces, pass through many obstacles, and have tonnes of aerial challenges thrown in your way.
