Historic Jeddah Is Hosting A Superb Festival Starting Today And It’s Running For Just 7 Days

Tourists tend to remain away from Historic Jeddah for much of the year, but whenever there’s a festival, the old district comes out alive kicking and screaming.

Starting today the Misk Historic Jeddah kicks off with a bang and will run till the 20th of the month.

This will be the third edition of the festival in Jeddah. Right now, there aren’t any major events or festivals taking place in the city, so this is where you can expect the crowds to be.

Historic Jeddah is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the kingdom has invested heavily in its restoration.

Recently, at the behest of the Crown Prince another restoration project for this part of Jeddah was announced with the first phase alone costing SAR 50 million.

The festival highlights the place’s rich history and unique culture. According to Arab News, there will be 22 interactive and entertainment activities. The one for visitors to watch out for is the holographic play.
