25 Food Poisoning Patients In Riyadh Have Been Released From Hospital Care
Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdali, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, provided an update stating that more than half of the individuals hospitalized for food poisoning in Riyadh have been discharged from the intensive care unit.
“Of the hospitalized patients, 25 have been released as their condition stabilized. We’ve observed a noticeable decline in cases over the past three days,” he informed about the food poisoning patients.

The spokesperson reiterated the Ministry’s stance, affirming that there are no new leads regarding the source of the food poisoning beyond what was previously announced. “We emphasize the importance of relying on official sources for information and urge against spreading unverified rumors,” he emphasized.

Earlier statements from Dr. Al-Abdali indicated that a total of 35 individuals were admitted to hospitals following a food poisoning incident linked to a restaurant in Riyadh. The Riyadh Mayoralty promptly responded by closing the implicated restaurant and its branches and initiating investigations through the central laboratory to identify the cause.
The Mayoralty has intensified its health surveillance measures to prevent any further occurrences and ensure compliance with stringent standards for environmental and public health safety.
