Ramadan is a significant time for Muslims all over the world, and Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, is no exception. During this holy month, Riyadh offers a multitude of events and activities for visitors to participate in and enjoy. Here are four not-to-be-missed events in Riyadh during the Ramadan season.

1. Gergean

On the 15th day of Ramadan, a celebration called Gergean is held throughout the city. Not many deets about this event have been made public yet, but it will take place in many separate areas of the city at the same time, including the main Ramadan tent, Iftar and Sohour Zaman, and the Ramadan district.

2. Hawiyah Hayah Nights

3. Esports Ramadan Season Tournament – FIFA23

For gamers, the E-sports Ramadan Season tournament is a must-attend event. The tournament will take place from April 12th to April 14th and will be held in collaboration with the Saudi Esports Federation and the Ministry of Sport. Participants can compete against each other in FIFA 23 for the chance to win big.

4. The World Heritage Day Event

This six-day event is free for everyone to attend and promises to be a unique cultural experience. During the event, visitors will be treated to a fascinating cultural heritage cultural program that showcases the country’s rich history and cultural diversity. There will be a variety of activities for visitors to participate in, such as exhibitions, workshops, and interactive displays. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about traditional crafts, art, music, dance, and much more.

5. The Little Discoverer

Finally, for families with young children, the Little Discoverer programme is an excellent option. Running from April 18th to April 23rd, the programme aims to increase children’s contribution to the protection and preservation of heritage by educating them on the importance of excavation work. The programme is free and provides a unique opportunity for kids to learn and have fun at the same time.
