1. 100,000 trees will be planted in Dammam

As part of the Kingdom’s afforestation project, the area west of Dammam Airport will soon become a green garden with around 100,000 trees.

2. COVID cases have lessened to below 2,000

With the cases surpassing 6,000 in the past few weeks, the numbers have finally come down to 1,982 new cases on Tuesday. The total number of infections in the country reached 732,596, with 698,842 recoveries.

3. The Kingdom surpasses other countries with Smart-Apps for Pandemic

Saudi Arabia has outshined other countries when it comes to managing vaccines and testing in the Kingdom. Local applications Tawakkalna, Absher, Sehhaty, and Eatmarna have all helped residends of the country deal with the pandemic protocol. These applications provide access to COVID testing centers, results, vaccines, time slots for shopping, and even for visiting the Holy Mosques in the country.

4. Trials for public buses in Makkah have started

As part of Vision 2030, the phase one trials are being conducted on tracks connecting the Haramain High Speed Railway Station in Rusaifah neighborhood and Jabal Omar Station near the Holy Mosque parks. This service, advocated by the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, looks to ease the transport for pilgrims and locals of the region.

5. Saudi King approves 31 Merit Medals for expats


The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has approved the Merit Medals of the third grade to 32 expatriate residents that participated in blood donation.
