A clip of 9-year-old Bilal Al-Harby telling the story of how he memorized the Holy Quran went viral on social media yesterday. Bilal also spoke about the certificates he earned in Quranic recitation and about the hadiths he memorized.

Bilal said that he started memorizing the Qur’an at the age of 4.5 and completed the memorization in a year and a half.

Bilal added that he typically read the part that he wanted to memorize 5 times before sleeping, which helped him to memorize it easily when he woke up the next day.
