A Saudi Social Media Star Donates A Part Of Her Liver To Save The Life Of A Young Girl

A young Saudi girl had a liver condition that was potentially fatal. Social media influencer Johara Al-Hoqail heard the girl’s story from a friend and immediately stepped up to help.

Al-Hoqail donated a part of her liver to save the girl’s life.
What’s more, she did so at a time when she herself required retinal transplantation.

Saudi Twitter was all praises for her gesture, and the Johara Al Hoqail hashtag started trending on Twitter.


Al-Hoqail states that she started looking into organ donation when she was 15 years old. She made use of the publicity she is receiving to inspire others to donate their organs. Way to go, Johara! You’re a star!
