Both Saudi astronauts Ali Al Qarni and Rayyana Barnawi have safely returned back to earth after spending eight whole days on the International Space Station.

Rayyana was actually the first Arab-female astronauts to go on a mission to the ISS

They returned on a SpaceX Dragon capsule that was carrying the two Saudi along with two American astronauts Peggy Whitson and John Shoffner. They were seen making a parachute-assisted landing on the coast of Florida at around 7am GST.

The video of their arrival shows both Rayyana and Ali struggling to find balance as their bodies re-adjusted to gravity

The astronauts conducted a bunch of different experiments and studies while aboard the ISS, alongside UAE’s astronaut, Sultan Al Neyadi who himself is on a 6-month mission in space.

They posted such amazing pictures of the Kingdom during their time up there
