A pregnant Bangladeshi woman in her thirties was travelling on a domestic Saudia flight from Tabuk to Jeddah. But then, 36,000 feet up in the air, she goes into labor. She flags down the crew, and luckily, her two football teams were on the flight.
Now, why lucky, you ask? Well, it’s ‘cus the football teams were accompanied by their team doctors, who helped deliver the baby. They decide not to cut the umbilical cord until they’re safely on the ground.
The King Abdulaziz airport in Jeddah gets wind of the mid-air delivery, and the pilot gets the green light to land pronto.
According to the Gulf News, once both the mom and the newborn were stable, they were shifted to a local hospital.
