ATTN: Saudi Arabia Tells Its Residents To Avoid Unnecessary Travel Abroad

Avatar

With Omicron spreading rapidly in many countries, the CEO of the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) Dr. Abdullah Al-Quwazani has asked residents to avoid unnecessary travel abroad particularly to high-risk countries.

This comes in the wake of rising Coivid-19 cases in the kingdom as they crossed the 100-mark for two days in a row.

While interacting with the press he mentioned that foreign visitors must refrain from social interaction for five days after returning to the country. He also stated that “The booster dose of vaccination has the power of resisting the Omicron variety by more than 25 times as compared to those who received only two doses of the coronavirus vaccine”.

Another major announcement at the press meet was when the spokesman of the Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdel Ali mentioned that coronavirus vaccinations will be given to children aged five and above in the near future.
