Businesses Can Run For 24 Hours Straight In Saudi Starting On Wednesday

The Saudi Council of Ministers’ decision to allow business activities to stay open for 24 hours will come into effect starting Wednesday, January 1, 2020.

According to the decision, the business owners to whom the regulations apply should submit a request to the relative secretariats and municipalities to obtain the license to keep their businesses open 24/7 starting January 01, 2020.

This decision was issued by the Saudi Council of Ministers last July 2019, for a fee that will be determined by the Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs. Wedding halls, gas stations, and hotels will be exempted from any fees, as will institutions conducting educational, medical, and pharmaceutical activities.
