Cristiano Ronaldo Tops Forbes’ List Of The World’s Highest Paid Athletes After Moving To Saudi Arabia

Avatar

Cristiano Ronaldo can just never be out of the news, and as always, he’s back in the news again, this time for claiming the top spot on Forbes list of the highest paid athletes. Hold on to your hats, folks, because Cristiano Ronaldo just raked in a huge $136 million, as per Forbes.

That’s way more than Lionel Messi, who raked in $130 million, while his PSG teammate (at least for now), Kylian Mbappe, who also happens to be one of the youngest on the list, earned an impressive $120 million in earnings.

Of course, the list wouldn’t be complete without some familiar faces from the worlds of basketball and boxing. LeBron James, the powerhouse of the Los Angeles Lakers and an NBA legend, netted a staggering $119.5 million. Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez, the Mexican boxing sensation, delivered a knockout performance both in and out of the ring, pocketing a cool $110 million.

Now only time will tell if Ronaldo will be able to hold the top spot for next year, as Saudi side Al-Hilal has reportedly submitted an offer to Lionel Messi that has never been seen in football history.
