Coinciding with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, Riyadh has submitted a bid to host Expo 2030 yesterday. The letter was handed in Paris by the chief executive officer of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Fahd Al-Rasheed, to the secretary-general of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), Dimitri Kerkentzes.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman said in a letter to the World Expo’s organizing organization, Bureau International des Expositions “We live in an era of change, and we face an unprecedented need for humanity’s collective action.”
Expo 2030 is slated to be held from 1, 2030, to April 1, 2031. The Saudi candidacy for the World Expo 2030 will be led by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, which is the institution responsible for the city of Riyadh and is chaired by the Crown Prince.
