Dramatic Footage Shows Rare Tornado Rippling Over Saudi

This rare tornado was spotted in Saudi Arabia’s Hail region on Tuesday!

It was accompanied with severe thunderstorms with strong winds of 60 km/h.

The Saudi National Meteorological Center commented on the circulating video of this phenomenon and explained the reasoning behind such a rare sight!

The severe thunderstorms associated with strong winds is what created this phenomenon. The officials added that this condition is technically called a “funnel cyclone.”

It was accompanied with severe thunderstorms with strong winds of 60 km/h.

Although huge in size, the event thankfully caused no harm to any citizens and residents, and occurred in the middle of the desert.

The Kingdom’s residents have been enjoying the recent forecast, which included rain and cool winds for the past week. Mountains in Tabuk also had the season’s first snowfall this past Saturday.
