Expo Flag Handed To Saudi: Riyadh 2030 Is Set To Make History!

The torch has officially been passed!

On Monday, the BIE flag was lowered at Expo 2025 Osaka and handed over to Expo 2030 Riyadh, signaling the countdown to one of the world’s biggest events. A video titled “A Journey of Foresight” gave a sneak peek of what’s ahead, showing just how Riyadh is preparing to welcome the globe.

Running from October 1, 2030, to March 31, 2031, Expo 2030 Riyadh is set to attract over 42 million visitors from 197 countries and 29 organizations!

Spanning 6 million square meters and organized into five thematic zones, the event promises a thrilling exploration of innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity — all under the theme “The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow.”

Visitors can expect a city transformed for the occasion, with immersive experiences, cutting-edge exhibitions, and opportunities for collaboration that position Riyadh as a global hub for creativity and forward-thinking solutions. After the six-month event, the site will evolve into a permanent global village, leaving a lasting cultural and technological legacy for the city and the wider world. Riyadh, known for its vibrant culture, modern infrastructure, and welcoming hospitality, is gearing up to showcase everything the Kingdom has to offer.
