Get ready for some serious bird business! At the recent Saudi Falcons Club auction, a peregrine falcon chick from the Al-Dabdaba area in Hafr Al-Batin took center stage.

Talk about a feathered superstar!

The auction kicked off on October 1 and is set to run until November 15 at the club’s Malham HQ near Riyadh. With a starting bid of SAR 60,000, this chick faced some fierce competition, ultimately flying past a previous sale of SAR 240,000 just days earlier.

The bidding for this star falcon was a nail-biter, lasting about five to six minutes. And here’s the kicker: the whole auction is broadcast live on TV and social media, making for an electrifying atmosphere filled with competitive bidding!

The club is all about keeping Saudi Arabia’s rich falconry culture alive and thriving, aligning with Vision 2030 goals

It supports falconers throughout the hunting season, offering services like housing and transport for their birds. Since its first auction in 2020, the event has raked in impressive totals: over SAR 10 million the first time, SAR 8.3 million the second, more than SAR 7 million the third, and back to SR10 million the fourth.

This year, it’s shaping up to be another blockbuster!
