Neymar, who joined Al-Hilal in August of 2023 in a blockbuster move worth a reported €90 million ($98.5M), had high expectations ahead of his time in Saudi Arabia. But unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. Injuries have been a major setback for the 32-year-old, with Neymar managing seven appearances since making the move to the Kingdom.
It all took a tough turn back in October 2023 when Neymar ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament, sidelining him until October 2024. Even after recovering, Neymar played two matches before he was once again out of action in November.
While it’s a disappointing chapter for Neymar’s time in Saudi Arabia, fans are hoping he’ll make a speedy recovery and get back to doing what he does best: dazzling the football fanbase with his incredible talent.
