And that’s a wrap! Hollywood’s upcoming action-thriller starring Gerard Butler just wrapped up after two weeks of filming in Al Ula

Movie cast members and the filming crew all got to experience the UNESCO Word Heritage Site and took to social media to post the experience

The main character, Gerard Butler, is famous for his hit movies including “Olympus Has Fallen,” “300,” and “Bounty Hunter.”

The movie, titled Kandahar is directed by Ric Roman Waugh famous for the super hits “Angel Has Fallen,” “Greenland,” and “Felon.” The story revolves around Gerard portraying a CIA agent based in the Middle East, known as Tom Harris, whose cover is blown after a leak reveals the nature of his classified mission.

The movie director was all praises, to the unique beauty of Al Ula, thinking it ideal for his Hollywood vision. Cast and crew all reported enjoying and were taken away by the natural beauty of the region, perfect for their upcoming movie. Waugh also praised the cooperation and support of Royal Commission for AlUla and the Minstry of Culture to wrap up the film and get things done within the two-week trip.
