Get ready for a week of rain, because the General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a strong advisory for citizens and residents to stay safe and take precautions amid ongoing monsoon season across the Kingdom. They urge everyone to avoid areas prone to flash floods and valleys and to seek higher, safer ground.

Swimming in these risky areas is strongly discouraged, with officials stressing the importance of following safety instructions shared across various media platforms.

The rainy conditions are expected to persist in parts of Saudi Arabia from Friday through Tuesday


In the Makkah region, residents should prepare for dust-stirring winds, moderate to heavy rainfall, and the possibility of hail. The Riyadh region is also in line for moderate to heavy downpours.

Other areas set to experience moderate to heavy rainfall include the Eastern Region, Najran, Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan

Meanwhile, lighter to moderate rain is forecasted for Madinah, the Northern Borders, Qassim, and Hail. Stay informed, stay safe, and follow the guidance provided to navigate through the wet weather.
