Hajj Heads Into Cooler Seasons For The Next 25 Years!

If you’ve ever experienced Hajj in the sweltering summer heat, here’s some refreshing news…

This year marks the last summer Hajj season for the next 25 years!

According to Hussein Al-Qahtani, spokesperson for the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), the shift is all thanks to the lunar calendar — which moves the Hajj season back by about 10 days each year. That means the timing of Hajj naturally rotates through the seasons.

So what’s next?

  •  Eight years of springtime Hajj
  •  Followed by eight years in winter
  • Then eight more in autumn, as things gradually warm up again
  • And finally… summer makes a comeback (but not until around 2050!)

This seasonal shift brings a much-welcomed break for millions of pilgrims, offering cooler, more comfortable conditions during their sacred journey.

Moral of the story: Pack light layers — and enjoy the breeze while it lasts!
