With the world’s largest outdoor park to a beautifully preserved historical district, Riyadh is definitely looking to compelete promising projects that will flock millions of tourists in the upcoming years. Every weekend could be full of amusement thanks to this upcoming project! Qiddiya is set out to be the region’s very own amusement hub, located on the outskirts of Riyadh. It will measure around 344 square kilometers and will feature a wide range of attractions. All the way from a stadium with 20,000 seats that sits atop a cliff, to an amazing race track, it’s going to have it all. Not to mention, America’s finest, Six Flags amuesement park will officially open doors to Riyadh and feature the world’s tallest, longest, and fastest roller coaster. The project is set to be complete by 2030,andis looking to welcome 17 MILLION visitors anually.

2. King Salman Park

If you really enjoy those trips to NYC for the endless views at Central Park, then put that to a halt because Riyadh is making a park FOUR times its size. That’s right, King Salman Park is going to be FOUR TIMES bigger than Central Park and will feature amazing attractions like cinemas, art academies, museums, and even spots for the family picnics. The park won’t only be just for walking and entertainment, but will also feature 12,000 residential units and will have public transport of the metro and bus lines pass through the sites.

 

3. Riyadh Metro

Transport is TOTALLY about to change in the capital because Riyadh is getting its very own Metro in the upcoming years, and it looks great! This metro will measure thirty six meters in length and will be able to carry around 400,000 passengers on a daily basis. The driverless trains will be divided into three classes of first, family, and singles. This project is set to finish soon!

 

4. Ad Diriyah

This place is Riyadh’s best kept historical destination and was actually the first Saudi state. Located in the outskirts of Riyadh, this upcoming tourist destination is set to feature luxury resorts, A-list hotels, and over 100 dining and entertianment facilities. This historical landmark is preserved to perfection, with its breathtaking Najdi architectural style. This spot is DEFINITELY going to be the next best weekend getaway.

5. Al Widyan

This urban project is set to become the capital’s top cosmopolitan district of seven MILLION square meters. The ‘city within the city will feature Riyadh’s finest entertainment and leisure destinations, divided into 12 districts. These districts will feature parks, wadis, offices, homes, leisure and retail facilities, and even educational institutions. This will be the perfect place for families, entrepreneurs, and new-comers looking to live their best life in Riyadh.
