As the new year approaches, it’s time to appreciate all that happened these past 12 months. Saudi has had quite the year as it wowed the GLOBE with their outstanding projects. From an entirely vertical city, to hosting an incredibly large-scale sport event, the Kingdom has really made the most of 2022, as they work towards Vision 2030. Here are five, of many, major projects that the Kingdom announced this year 💪 🇸🇦
5. The Line
This futuristic city is being built near the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia and is a $500 million dollar project 😱. The city will run to be 170km-long and 500 meters tall, designed to welcome 9 million citizens. Designed to totally co-exist with nature, this city will have a 0-vehicle rule and will solely run on transport by foot and pods. The project is currently in its first phase of construction 🙌

This place is going to be Saudi’s winter getaway as Neom is planning to build the most beautiful and luxurious winter resort. This spot will feature the Kingdom’s first ski village, along with luxurious reserves, hotels, resorts, stores and restaurants. The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman announced the project in March this year, which is set to be completed in 2026. Trojena is also set to host the Asian Winter Games in 2029 🙌
3. Sindalah Island Resort

This resort is actually going to be shaped like a Seahorse…🤩. Also a part of Neom’s iconic projects, this will be the region’s first island and yacht club hub in the Red Sea. Set to open in 2024, this spot will cover around 840 thousand square meters and looks absolutely stunning 😍

The Kingdom announced its first electric vehicle brand that has totally changed the game 👏. The upcoming vehicles are set to attract more than $150 million in foreign investments. Ceer is also said to create up to 30,000 job opportunities, and will launch in 2025 🙌
