A quick-thinking teacher at a Saudi primary school saved a young student’s life after he swallowed three coins, according to local media.

The female teacher noticed that the first grader was showing signs of choking and struggling to breathe during class

Working in Al Aflaj governorate, about 300km from Riyadh, the teacher immediately stepped in and helped the boy remove the coins he had accidentally swallowed while playing with them in his mouth, reported Saudi news outlet Sabq.

As reported by Gulf News, the boy’s father, Mohammed Al Dousri, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I thank the teacher for her fast actions and expertise that, with Allah’s help, saved my son’s life.”
