This Thursday, November 13, the Kingdom will come together in a special act of devotion as Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, calls on all the faithful to perform the rain-seeking prayer, Salat al-Istisqa.
In a heartfelt message, the King encouraged people to increase repentance, seek forgiveness, and engage in acts of worship such as giving charity and performing prayers. Beyond personal devotion, he emphasized spreading kindness and easing the burdens of others, reminding everyone that goodness begins when we lift each other up.
“The faithful should also strive to ease the burdens of people and alleviate their distress, so that God may relieve our hardship and grant us what we hope for,” the King said, praying for mercy on the Kingdom and its people.
As Saudi Arabia prepares to unite in prayer, this is more than just a spiritual tradition, it’s a powerful reminder of compassion, community, and hope that blessings, quite literally, can rain down when hearts are turned toward goodness.
