The flight was operated by Air India Express, which flew in from Kozhikode to Jeddah on Thursday night. The passengers were actually part of a 4,000-member group traveling together for Hajj, and will be joined with their fellow-travelers on arrival. The flight was operated in order to ease travel for the women passengers traveling for the holy pilgrimage. Thousands of pilgrims are flying into Jeddah on a daily basis because of the Hajj 2023 season, and Air India made history while doing it!
