Indian Travellers Can Finally Visit Saudi Arabia Directly
The pandemic has given us a lot of new words — efficacy, social distancing and wait for it, air bubble. If you’ve missed out on this term then in simple terms an air bubble is an agreement between countries allowing direct travel between them. Saudi Arabia and India have finally agreed on one and that means that direct flights between the two countries have reopened.
The air bubble agreement went into effect on the 1st of this month.
For the longest time, to reach Saudi, Indian travelers either had to get on a charter flight or via a transit country that has an air bubble agreement with India like the UAE does. But, all that’s things of the past now.
So it does seem like it’s a Happy New Year for the large Indian diaspora here.
Embassy is pleased to announce air bubble arrangement between India and Saudi Arabia with effect from January 1st, 2022. Details at https://t.co/wKDXdmWMmU@MoCA_GoI @MEAIndia @ksagaca
