He listed, along with a bunch of other games, the host-countries for each of the upcoming tournaments. Saudi was listed for hosting the 2034 World Cup. Fans are totally ready to welcome the teams to the GCC for the second time, as the 2020 World Cup was held in Qatar, starting this unexpected trend of hosting famous tournaments in the Middle East!

The announcement came after Australia decided to pull their bid out of the submission

Australia was the only other country competing with Saudi Arabia for the 2034 bid, but decided to pull out last minute. Australia however announced it would be supporting Saudi in achieving their goals of hosting the 2034 World Cup, considering the potential and passion for football in the Kingdom. The Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also stated that the Kingdom’s desire to host the FIFA World Cup is a reflection of the country’s progress in all sectors!

Looks like 2030 is a great time to be in Saudi!
