Riyadh’s roads are about to get a ROYAL touch!

Next time you’re cruising through Riyadh, keep an eye out—because the capital’s streets are now paying tribute to some of the most iconic figures in Saudi history! The Riyadh Municipality has started installing brand-new road signs, and they’re not just any signs.

These mark 15 main squares named after legendary Saudi imams and kings, making every turn a little more historic

This cool initiative kicked off right after King Salman gave the royal green light, following a proposal by Crown Prince Mohammed bin SalmanAnd it’s more than just a street sign makeover—it’s about keeping the legacy of these national figures alive and reminding everyone of the incredible people who helped shape the Kingdom.

From Imam Mohammed bin Saud, the founder of the first Saudi state, to King Abdulaziz, the unifier of modern Saudi Arabia, each square now tells a story. Other names include King Saud, King Faisal, King Fahd, King Abdullah, and, of course, King Salman himself.

But it’s not just about history it’s about pride and a continuous legacy!

The project ties perfectly into Vision 2030, aiming to spotlight the cultural and historical roots that continue to shape Saudi identity

So, whether you’re heading to work, grabbing coffee, or just out for a drive, you’ll be passing by more than just streets…you’ll be passing by history itself.
