Kuwait and Bahrain recorded the first cases of coronavirus infection this morning. The three patients had been in Iran recently.

Kuwait reported 2 cases of coronavirus among travelers coming from the Iranian city of Mashhad, including a Saudi citizen.

Meanwhile, Bahrain reported the first coronavirus infection for a Bahraini citizen who was also in Iran.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health said in a statement that “the first case is a Kuwaiti citizen, 53 years old, and the second is a Saudi citizen, 61 years, and stressed that the health status of the cases so far is normal and they did not show any symptoms of the disease.”

As for the third case, it is a 21 year old man from the stateless community, who has started to show symptoms.

The three cases are under monitoring by the medical authority.
