Lufthansa’s Chief Executive, Jens Ritter, decided to trade his comfy office for a whole new world of adventure recently, and he spilled all the deets on LinkedIn.

In a move that pleasantly surprised many, Ritter became an undercover member of the cabin crew. Yep, you heard that right! This high-flying executive decided to don the classic cabin crew uniform and step onto the frontlines of Lufthansa’s flight to Riyadh.

He started his career as an Airbus A320 pilot. So, he’s no stranger to the skies, but this was a whole different level of challenge.

In his LinkedIn post, Ritter confessed that even with his extensive experience in the aviation industry, this was a whole new ballgame for him.

His undercover mission took him on Lufthansa’s flights from Frankfurt to Riyadh and Bahrain. He served business class passengers on the way to Riyadh and economy passengers on the return leg.

In his post, Ritter couldn’t help but express his amazement at the intricacies of the job. He particularly admired how the cabin crew skillfully managed everything, especially when things didn’t go according to plan. You know, like when the meals listed on the menu cards were not exactly what was loaded on board. You can read his full post here.
