Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had a recent sit-down with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Riyadh to chat about the ongoing tensions in Gaza and beyond, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

In the meeting, the Crown Prince doubled down on Saudi Arabia’s efforts to work with global and regional players to de-escalate the situation

The Saudi leader also made it clear that the Kingdom stands firmly with the Palestinian people, backing their quest for rightful freedom, a dignified life, and lasting peace. The President of Palestine was originally welcomed to Riyadh on Monday, by Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region, Prince Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
