Meet The First Saudi Athlete To Be Featured In The Olympic Museum

Saudi is FULL of famous athletes that have made it to the Olympics, but this athlete is the first to be officially inducted into the Olympic Museum.

Husein Alireza is known to be the first Saudi national to be featured in the museum

He posted the great news on his official Instagram account, writing a heartfelt thank you. Husiein was invited to Lausanne, Switzerland to donate a piece from his Olympic career, to the museum.

Husein’s rowing oars from Tokyo 2020 were chosen to be featured in the museum


In the caption Husein mentioned his oars “..have had blood sweat and tears regularly roll down those orange handles for more than four years.” Husein is known to be a professional rower for Saudi Arabia, and has participated in numerous competitions. He was also recently featured on the cover of Vogue Arabia Man, where he gave interesting insight on rowing and his dedication to represent the Kingdom.
