Neom Is Planning To Build A High-speed Railway To Connect Its Projects!

Hera Shabbir

Everyone knows Neom is about to totally define the future with its breathtaking projects. However, commuting between these mega-sites is something that is essential for the whole Neom experience. The city has therefore decided to construct its very own railway along the coast of the Red Sea.

The 57-km long rail will connect Oxagon with The Line for a quick commute!

The high speed railway will soon begin construction after a $1.5 billion contract between Webuild and its joint-venture partner Shibh Al Jazira Contracting Company (SAJCO). The Line and Oxagon are both mega cities in Neom that plan to provide green and eco-friendly living facilities, including zero carbon emissions and reduced vehicle use. The Line actually plans to use 100 percent clean energy from renewable sources such as solar, wind, and green hydrogen! Oxagon is planning to become the world’s largest floating structure and also plans on functioning solely on renewable energy.
