New Dedicated Carts Make Tahallul Easier For Women At The Grand Mosque

In a move to enhance the Umrah experience for female pilgrims, the General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has introduced dedicated carts for women’s Tahallul—the ritual of cutting hair to exit the state of Ihram

This new service ensures privacy and ease, catering specifically to the needs of female worshippers.

Managed entirely by an all-female staff, the carts provide a comfortable and sterilized environment, especially during peak pilgrimage times.

Strategically placed next to Bab Al-Marwah, they offer a seamless solution for women completing their Umrah journey.

This initiative follows the recent launch of Tahallul stations for male pilgrims, with five designated areas near the Marwa region

Mobile units equipped with sterilized tools have also been introduced, accommodating the high number of worshippers.

With a focus on efficiency, safety, and accessibility, this service reflects the ongoing efforts to innovate and enhance the pilgrimage experience

By addressing the unique needs of women, the General Authority continues to implement thoughtful solutions that improve comfort and convenience at the Grand Mosque.
