The decision, shared via the Ministry’s official X platform, is aimed at improving service quality and ensuring that every pilgrim has secure and approved accommodation before entering the Kingdom.
The Nusuk Masar platform serves as a centralized digital hub where pilgrims can book approved hotels, upload housing contracts, manage travel permits, and access multilingual guidance materials.
In coordination with the Ministry of Tourism, the directive mandates that all accommodations be licensed and documented through Nusuk Masar.
Licensed Umrah operators, travel agents, and organizing companies are required to comply with the new rules. Failure to submit verified hotel bookings could result in visa delays, rejections, or financial penalties.
As religious tourism continues to grow, such digital requirements reflect Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing both efficiency and pilgrim well-being on a global scale.
