Rescue From Above: Saudi’s First Firefighting Drone All Set To Safeguard Hajj Pilgrims

In a bold move to elevate safety during Hajj 2025, Saudi Arabia is deploying Falcon, its first-ever AI-powered firefighting and rescue drone.

Announced by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Falcon is designed for high-risk, hard-to-reach emergencies—capable of flying for 12 hours and carrying up to 40 kilograms.

Equipped with a multi-purpose firefighting system, thermal cameras, and live-streaming tech linked to command centers, Falcon is built to respond fast while minimizing risks to human crews.

From high-rise fires to crowded areas and hazardous zones, this drone is ready for action

Major General Hamoud Al-Faraj emphasized the Kingdom’s broader safety strategy, including pre-inspections, emergency drills, and 24/7 rapid response teams.

With smart tech in the skies and dedicated teams on the ground, Saudi Arabia is raising the bar for Hajj safety like never before.
